Hello! My name is Maya!
I am a passionate game developer currently attending RIT. I have experience in C#, Unity, Maya, Procreate, Java, and more.
I have a passion for video games with a compelling story and unique gameplay! I have loved video games since I was in elementary, and strive to make games that can touch people's hearts in the same way games touched mine as a kid.
For a little background on my passion for games, I have appreciated the art and stories of video games since I discovered Undertale. The story, the art, the emotional rollercoaster, all of it inspired me to create. I didn't always know if Game Design was something I wanted to pursue. I dabbled a bit in "coding" in middle school, meaning block coding in scratch, but it didn't pique my interest. That was until about halfway through high school, in my first coding class, when I knew Game Design was the career for me. Solving problems in coding is a satisfaction almost nothing else can compare to. I will actively pursue my dream to change lives the way Undertale changed mine. I want to create to inspire others.
Delivery Dan and The Wizard Man and Fish Failure highlight my key skills to design, program, thrive in collaborative environments, and bring creative game concepts to life. For both projects, I was both the Art Director, as well as a programmer. I'm very excited to finally have games I can show others proudly, and can't wait to see the development of my improvement as time goes on.
To know me a little more outside my technical skills, I have pursued art, editing, and piano as hobbies. I've been doing art and editing for a long time, and piano is something I only recently picked up. I hope to use all these skills to further develop my game design strategies.
